Tonight, I have NO idea how the idea popped into my head, or how the song did either, but that doesn’t matter! If you want to win tonight, you have to sing these lyrics:

Do you believe in rock ’n roll,
Can music save your mortal soul,
And can you teach me how to dance real slow?

Well, I know that you’re in love with him
`cause I saw you dancin’ in the gym.
You both kicked off your shoes.
Man, I dig those rhythm and blues.

There are TWO catches to this contest! One, you have to out sing me! That’s right I will be singing the song first, then you call, if you think you can out sing me! We will then have listeners text who they thought won the contest! Stipulation two. You have no music to sing to! All you and only you! Think you have what it takes? Be caller 12 at 7:20! 1-800-570-1013

I’m OBSESSED with the dress below! Robbie was wishy-washy on it and Crockett told me I’d look like Princess Leia in it. :-(

As I was going through show prep this afternoon, I came across an article about how Taylor Swift had wrote her song “Hey Stephen” about Love & Theft’s band member Stephen Liles Barker.  THEN I read that he wrote a song in response to her song, called “Try To Make It Anyway.”  So, I’m thinking finally some guy she dated is gonna get back at her for writing about and dogging all of her past boyfriends in every single song she’s ever written!”  WRONG! It’s a love song about him trying to get over her.  DUDE…YOU’RE MAKING ALL US GUYS LOOK BAD WHEN YOU DO THAT! And what makes it even worse for me? I really, really like the song.  Check out Stephen Liles Barker’s “Try To Make It Anyway”…

So I figured when I set the bar at 500 text messages last night, that would be too much to ask for. Well was I wrong! in less than ten minutes I had over 1,000 texts! So that had me thinking, what if I up the number a bit? How about, lets say, 5,000? Yea, that’s right, 5,000!

If you are the 5,000 person to text the word crockett to the number 32961 you win yourself a pair of Brad Paisley tickets! What do you think, can we make it to 5,000? I’m a bit skeptical, but I think we can hit that number. So starting at 7:10, start texting crockett to the number 32961 and be the 5,000 person to send in the text and win!

Just before joining the FROGGY 101 family, I had the opportunity to head back to Rapid City, South Dakota to visit my really good friends, the Keene family (Seth, Barb, Emma, Jarod, and Lauren).  As always, I had an amazing time, from staying up late talking to Lauren about how all boys are no good, to playing pickup basketball on their Fisher-Price hoop with Jarod, to eating cereal and watching cartoons with Emma.   But I made one small mistake: I promised Emma and her friend Kalli that they could “do my hair and makeup” when we got home.  What I thought was gonna be a 10 – 15 minute thing turned into a 45-minute makeover! So, I got my hair did (with damn near the whole can of mousse in it) and my makeup (complete with eyeshadow, blush and sparkles).  And even though I looked like an extra from a RuPaul video, it was hilarious and an experience I will never forget…and something I hope Emma NEVER asks me to do again!

Brad and Angelina weren’t available, but we were able to pulled in the second-stringers:  your favorite FROGGY personalities…some with multiple personalities, so you actually are getting more bang for your buck!

At 7:00 Thursday morning, 12th caller will kick off  “Celebrity Password”.  You’ll have 30 seconds to guess 3/5 FROGGY DJ’s to win 2nd row seats for Brad Paisley’s July 22nd concert.

Eric and I will give you the clues, you correctly guess the DJ.  But, be careful…you’re only allowed one incorrect guess; 2 strikes will disqualify you!  You are allowed to pass to take a shot at another DJ.

Since you took the time to hunt down my blog, here are the five possible winning celebrity passwords:

Eric
Selena
Jessie Roberts
Robbie Owens
Crockett

Now do your research on them so you’ll be living large, two rows away from Brad Paisley!

In all my years on this Earth, three shows have been very influential in molding and shaping the personality that I am today: Looney Tunes, The Marx Brothers, and The Muppet Show.  The first two are self-explanatory.  I mean, who can argue with the comic genius of “DUCK SEASON! WABBIT SEASON!” or “One morning, I shot an elephant in my pajamas.  How he got in my pajamas I’ll never know.”  But I can prove to you that all of life’s lessons you’ll ever need, you’ll find on The Muppet Show.

1. Genius is ALWAYS misunderstood.

2. When dating a pig, NEVER make any bacon or pork chop jokes.

3. It always helps to have  a loyal sidekick.

4. No matter how funny you are, there will always be two crotchety old men heckling you.

5. The green guy is ALWAYS the star.

What did I tell ya? The first three seasons of “The Muppet Show” are available on DVD right now.  So, if these five examples didn’t prove it to you, go pick them up for more of life’s lessons.  You’ll thank me for it!

Mother’s Day is less than two weeks away. And for the lifetime of sacrifices she’s made for you . . . you could at least drop a few bucks on something she actually wants.

–According to a new survey of moms by Buy.com, here are the top three gifts that mothers want . . .

#1.) A day at the spa

#2.) A gift card

#3.) Something homemade

–As for the gift that they DON’T want . . . the number one answer was “flowers.”

–Now, beyond the gift: 32% of moms said the way they most want to spend Mother’s Day is by having a nice family meal out. 30% want to spend time with the family at home.

–Of the non-mothers in the survey, only 22% say they plan to spend at least $25 more on a Mother’s Day gift this year.

I wanted to give ya’ll a head start on the gift ideas!!!
